Windows 10 Mobile arrived in 2015 and as usual with OS upgrades, not every Windows 8.1 Phone device was eligible to get the OTA. Windows 10 Mobile users will no longer be eligible to receive new security updates, non-security hotfixes, free assisted support options or online technical content updates from Microsoft for free. Windows 10 Mobile, version 1709 (released October 2017) is the last release of Windows 10 Mobile and Microsoft will end support on December 10, 2019. From this date onwards, there won’t be any patches for the OS. It will lose support next week Tuesday, December 10, 2019.

This announcement comes at a time when Windows 10 Mobile (build 1709) is on its knees.
